MD.360.9.2, PER - 2008 COMBINED FEDERAL CAMPAIGNMaryland Bulletin: 360-9-2 Purpose. To provide information about the 2008 Combined Federal Campaign Expiration Date. September 30, 2009. Action Required By: November 21, 2008 Explanation. “Light the Way”, is the slogan for the 2008 Combined Federal Campaign. The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is the world’s largest workplace giving campaign. Last year, Federal employees raised over $273 million on behalf of charitable organizations across the country and overseas. This year I ask you to join me in helping the Chesapeake Bay Area Combined Federal Campaign raise $7,000. Together we can reach the goal and continue our support of vitally needed services. The campaign will run from Monday, November 10 through Friday, November 21, 2008. There are still those in need, hundreds of thousands of our neighbors here and around the world depend on these vital services every day. Whatever you can afford to give would be appreciated and most certainly would make a difference. Giving through payroll deduction can be your key to simple and substantial giving by spreading your contribution over the entire year. You can fill out the pledge card, or new this year, is online pledging at http://www.cfcnexus.org/_chesapeake/. Whether you choose to give your donation through payroll deduction, cash or check, you will have the satisfaction that comes from helping people in need. Pledge cards and Giving Guides will be sent to all employees. Contact. Carol Hollingsworth and Lydia Donovan are the CFC Coordinators this year. If you have any questions, you can contact them at 443-482-2902 or 443-482-2907. If you choose to fill out your pledge card, please send them to Attention: Lydia Donovan at the state office. Thank you for your support of the Combined Federal Campaign /s/ JON F. HALL |
