Explanation.

The National Organization of Professional Hispanic Natural Resources Conservation Service Employees (NOPHNRCSE) will host it’s 16th Annual Training Conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The conference will be held at the Radisson Plaza – Warwick Hotel Philadelphia, August 3-6, 2009. The Hispanic Emphasis Program managers (HEPM’s) will be having their annual training in conjunction with NOPHNRCSE Conference. Special emphasis will be placed on strengthening communication and partnerships, recruitment and retention strategies, promoting career development, and increase the overall effectiveness of NRCS program delivery to all customers.

NRCS encourages its employees to take advantage of attendance and participation by employees in career-related professional organization that enhance career development and professionalism.

Justification to attend this meeting may be:

  • Training (providing or fulfilling a training need)
  • Receiving an award, citation, or commendation
  • Receiving a scholarship
  • Presenting a topical paper or poster
  • Member of Chief’s staff
  • Special Emphasis Program Manager

Requests for attendance approval should be sent to Laurie Blasky and or Marie Monn, , no later than June 11, 2009 and will compile all requests for final approval.
