Subject: FNM - FY2009 Guidance for Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA) Operations

Purpose. To provide guidance for FY2009 AMA operations.

Expiration Date. September 30, 2009.

Explanation.

To date, no FY 2009 allocation for the AMA program has been made. We are working to resolve outstanding issues related to technical assistance authorities and funding.

Until further notice, please discontinue AMA activities. One exception to this discontinuation is if there is a critical prior year AMA implementation issue that must be addressed. This activity should be charged to the Conservation Technical Assistance (CTA) program.

We hope to resolve the outstanding issues related to AMA funding as quickly as possible. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Mark Rose at 443-482-2910 or mark.rose@md.usda.gov.
