Purpose. To inform employees of upcoming conference.

ACTION REQUIRED BY AUGUST 11, 2009

Explanation.

The Annual ASDSO International Conference is a National forum for technology transfer related to dam and levee safety and security. This year’s conference will be held from September 27 to October 1, 2009, in Hollywood, Florida. Details for the conference, including hotel and registration information, can be found on the Internet at www.damsafety.org/.

Justification to attend this meeting at government time and expense may be:

  • Presenting a paper
  • Conducting training, or making a presentation
  • Being a member of a committee meeting at the conference, or • Serving as a session moderator

Employees may use the conference for continuing education requirement to maintain a license, but it must be documented in their Individual Development Plan.

Requests for attendance approval should be sent to Laurie Blasky, no later than August 11, 2009 and she will compile all requests for final approval.
