Subject: PGM - Conservation Program Contract Modifications

Purpose. To provide guidance and establish a timeline for field offices to complete modifications to those contracts not on schedule

Expiration Date. September 30, 2008.

Explanation. 

NRCS field offices have completed a review of all open obligations that have been inactive for 12 months or longer. The attached ProTracts report (queried on 5.21.08) has 366 contracts that were reviewed and currently are behind schedule of implementing practices. Field offices will need to work with the contract holder to modify the contract and reschedule practices to get the contract on schedule. All contract modifications for these 366 contracts must be completed no later than July 18, 2008. Contract modifications must be completed as per Part 512, Subpart F, Contract Administration. If your county is not listed in the spreadsheet all of your contracts are on schedule.
