Explanation. 

Each year Maryland provides technical assistance associated with grazing land activities. Elmer Dengler, Resource Conservationist and State Grazing Specialists, has provided extensive technical assistance to field offices as it relates grazing activities. Districts have hosted numerous pasture walks and field days as well as developed promotional materials.

National Headquarters compiles information associated with grazing lands conservation. This information is used to prepare reports to Congress and other agencies and organizations. Field offices are asked to complete the information sheet attached with this bulletin. Return this to Mark Rose, Assistant State Conservationist for Programs no later than September 26, 2008. If your office did not conduct any activities associated with GLCI, please provide a negative response to this bulletin via email to mark.rose@md.usda.gov.
